Our Teaching Staff:
MEA PANGIA
(Artistic
Director/Teacher) has a degree in Theatre and Dance from
Rowan University. She has also studied dance at Dance
Center of South Jersey, Lowe Dance Studio, Koresh Dance
Center in Philadelphia, and under the direction of
choreographers such as Paule Turner (founder of c o u r
t), Melanie Stewart (Contemporary Dance Company), Ronni
Koresh (Koresh Dance Company), Savion Glover (Tap
Direction for the animated film Happy Feet), Chet Walker
(choreographer for the Broadway show FOSSE), and Robert
Burden (Tap Team Two and Co). Mea has received
scholarships to Joffrey Ballet, STEPS in NY, and The
American Dance Festival in NC. She has also performed
with dance companies: Voorhees Dance Ensemble and Ritz
Theater Dance Company. Miss Mea has performed in
numerous productions such as SHOES 2 DANCE, SWEET
CHARITY, VICOR/VICTORIA, A CHORUS LINE, STEPPING OUT,
LILITH, PETRUSHKA, THE NUTCRACKER, THE SOUND OF MUSIC,
AND DUKE AND DANCE as well as performing at the
Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She has also
choreographed musicals at The Rtiz Theater including
GODSPELL and CANDIDE. Mea dedicates her time and heart
to teaching her love of dance to her students.
JENNY
DAINO has been dancing
all of her life. Jenny has studied dance at The
American Dance Academy, Jaztabal Dance Inc, Innovative
Dance Inc, Mercer County Performing Arts High School,
Basically Ballet, and Princeton Ballet School. She has
performed in various dance companies as a member of
Suburban Dance Force as well as performing with
Bordentown Ballet Theater. Jenny is fully certified by
examination in the Dance Educators of America Teacher
Training and Certification program.
CRAIG
SCULL holds a BFA in
dance from Esther Boyer College of Music & Dance at
Temple University. In addition, he has studied dance
and choreography at the American Dance Festival with
Robert Battle, David Dorfman, and Gerri Houlihan. Craig
began his dance training at Rutgers University with
Randy James and Julia Ritter. In Philadelphia, Craig
has studied dance with Charles O. Anderson, Myra Bazell
and George Alley in the Live Arts Festival as well as
independent venues throughout Philadelphia. Craig has
shown his choreography in the Philly Fringe Festival,
The New Edge Mix, Glue Performance Series at Mum Puppet
Theatre and at Temple University.
LAUREN
KIPPHUT
graduated from DeSales University
with a bachelor of arts in Dance where she was a part of
the dance ensemble, ACTion Dance Touring Company, Young
Choreographer’s Series, and National Dance Honor
Society. Ms Kipphut was also a part of the American
College Dance Festival Association, Annual Fringe
Festival in Atlanta, GA, and the Philadelphia Dance
Alliance. She has won many awards including: the
Undergraduate Award for Outstanding Achievement in
Teaching, Settlement Music School Grant for Achievement
in Dance, and won the Allentown College Dance
Scholarship for Merit in Dance. Lauren has been
teaching dance throughout the Tri-State area for over
11yrs.
DAWN
O’HANLON has over 25
years of experience as a dancer and over 14 years
experience as a dance teacher! She has been training
since she was a little girl in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz,
Tap, Acro/Gymnastics, and has attended various workshops
and competitions throughout the nation. Miss Dawn’s
professional performances include Six Flags, Hershey
Park, Royal Caribbean’s Stars of Tomorrow, Universal
Studio’s Orlando, and Walt Disney World’s Magic Music
Days. She has an enormous passion for teaching dance
and we are extremely excited to have Miss Dawn on our
staff.
NIKI
HUMPHREY
has had extensive training in Tap,
Ballet, Pointe, Modern and Jazz through Two Left Feet
Dance Company and has a degree in Dance through Point
Park College. She has taught tap in several studios
including Seoul Performing Arts Center in Korea! Niki
currently works for the United States Air Force and is a
favorite at the dance studio.
DONTREL
SWINSON is an
experienced hip hop dancer and performer and specializes
in Popping, Krumping, Locking, Funk and Reggae. He
studied and trained under Faceless Entertainment. His
performance experience includes but is not limited to
being a background dancer for pop artist Daniel Gray as
well as various Step performances and competitions. Mr
Dontrel has taught and choreographed for the Rancocas
Valley High School and IDEA Center of Performing Arts
Youth Group. We are thrilled to have Mr Dontrel passing
his knowledge of hip hop to our students!
ALEXANDA
PAYTON “Alex” currently
teaches kindergarten for emotionally disturbed children
in private school setting and has just recently
graduated from Wilmington University with her Masters
Degree. She has danced competitively since the age of 3
and has the experience of working with prominent
instructors from NYCDA, Paul Abdul from Company Dance,
and Chris Judd. She was also on her dance team at
Shippensburg University and held the position of
director and received the award for best choreographer
two years in a row! Her team won nationals at the Reach
the Beach competition in Ocean City MD. Miss Alex has
taught dance to ages 3-Adult in dance genres such as
lyrical, hip hop, tap, ballet and jazz. She holds a
strong passion for the world of dance and truly enjoys
teaching children of all ages. |
